ASA Meeting Agenda

•12 Ring Archery in Connerville will be holding 2012 Oklahoma State July 7 & 8, 2012.
•Oklahoma will have two 20 target ranges for the ASA State Championship, but may add another 20-target range if needed.
•SOY will be determined by a competitor’s 5 highest scores from qualifiers plus their score from the ASA OK State Championship. An archer must shoot at least 5 qualifiers plus the State Championship to compete for SOY
.•All classes will have a SOY as long as there is at least one participant from the class who competes in 5 qualifiers plus the State Championship.
•Start times for qualifiers will be, before May1is 11 a.m. or earlier, after May 1st , all start times will be 9 a.m.
•All qualifiers will be shotgun start, no trickle start will be in effect for qualifiers.
•All shooters will be peered grouped as much as possible.
•Everyone will be required to shoot through a chronograph at each qualifier.

• If you have questions or a problem please pick up the phone and call or send me a pm or email. I would like to keep Oklahoma ASA and our shooters and ranges on the same page and working together.
•Entry fees will remain the same. Youth and Eagle class entry fees will be capped at $10.
•Clubs must submit their ASA Club Certification Packets to ASA by February 1, 2012 to keep your qualifer date.
•I would appreciate it if we could all support and promote all ASA Clubs in Oklahoma.

•Spectators are not allowed to leave the walking trails other than the parents of eagle class archers who are scoring for their children.

•Tournament hosts for Qualifiers and the State Championship may obtain score cards from the State Director at cost. These will be delivered morning of qualifier.
•Trophies will be awarded to 1st place in all kids classes and medals for all other participants.
•Will be introducing 2 new classes for 2012 in Oklahoma only. Participation in these classes does not qualify archers for the ASA Classic..

• 1st new class: Women’s Traditional Class; rules are same as the existing ASA Traditional Class.•2nd new class: Bare Bow Youth Class; 15 yards max, and rules are same as traditional. Age 9-14 years

•ASA Certified Pros who reside in Oklahoma and have competed on the ASA Pro-Am tour may compete in the Oklahoma State Championship. If the Pro resides in another state, they must of shot a qualifier in their state to qualify for the ASA OK State Championship. This does not qualify Professionals to compete in the ASA Classic Championship.

I want to thank all that attended the meeting and I am looking forward of working with and for you in 2012 to promote the growth of ASA. I am waiting to hear from a couple of ranges for a qualifier date, as soon as I get them one, I"ll post the 2012 schedule for Oklahoma ASA.I also want you to know that I'll be sending out a weekly report of how qualifiers went, number of shooters, and SOY on a weekly progress. This is new to me and I'm going to try my best in doing as you shooters want but please remember, I am human and I cannot please everyone. I will be using the help of my husband and friend, Lyle Plum and I'm bringing Vaughan McLain in as as area rep.
